release #001 shipped!

all of the kits, units, and enclosure systems from release #001 have been either shipped or hand-delivered. it was especially insightful to meet some of the local Portland folk and hear what makes them most excited about the project — so many different interpretations and ideas.

as everyone in this release group gets their units assembled and working, we look forward to collectively exploring what’s really possible: what could a bicycle sound like if it could talk back? how is sound useful in a mobile context? how can a microlocal wireless network be used to increase communication and feedback? what are the real musical possibilities?

now that this release is over, EFFALO’s focus will shift to providing the documentation and knowledge necessary to get everyone up and running. it feels so wonderful to be sharing this idea with people from all around the world and we look forward to seeing what emerges next!
